Overview
Aligned with the Chartered Banker Institute (CBI) syllabus, this course gives students the skills they need to work in today’s banking and finance industry with a focus on concepts such as credit risk management, strategy, corporate governance and ethics, sustainability, and quantitative techniques. This course prepares students for today’s banking and finance world and covers core concepts and skills needed to enhance their employability. University of Chester's academics have both the industry and academic credentials to ensure that the application of theory into practice is at the heart of this course. Students will have the opportunity to create a network of like-minded peers. The location of Chester Business School provides a unique opportunity to add value to this course by providing expert masterclasses from local, top-ranking companies such as Bank of America, M&S Bank, Airbus and Bentley Motors. In addition, the final project offers the choice to directly influence students' professional interests and career goals. The assessments will include case studies to give students the practical experience employers are looking for.
