What you will study
The PGCE English program is an established and successful course that will prepare them to teach all aspects of English, to 11–18 year-olds in secondary schools in England. The course is led by experienced tutors who work alongside school-based mentors. Spending four days a week in their placement school and one day a week at Roehampton, they will learn to plan, teach, and assess lessons that enable all pupils to make good progress. they will also learn about curriculum developments in the English language and literature. Working in partnership with the National Theatre, Roehampton academics, and local schools, we aim to develop creative, confident teachers who can use educational research to inform their practice
