6 Weeks Pre-Sessional English + One Term Pathway - International Incorporated Masters (IIM) - Continue to Master of Science - Developmental Psychology

The International Incorporated Master in Health, Education and Social Sciences offers a fast track route to a diverse range of continuation degree options including in Psychology, Social Work and Social Research Methods. It also offers continuation degree options in Law, Nursing and Health, and Education.

Developmental Psychology course focuses on infant and child development and will improve participants’ understanding of both social and cognitive development. They will also gain the academic skills necessary for developmental research.

Developmental Psychology addresses questions such as: • How can social-communication impairments in Autism Spectrum Disorder be supported? • Does self-awareness influence children’s memory? • How does language acquisition differ in bilingual and school learning contexts? • What does the latest research reveal about mental health and wellbeing in infants, children, and adolescents?

Participants will have the opportunity to take part in ongoing research conducted by the University in partnership with local education services. This will allow them to observe and participate in nursery settings, providing practical experience in conducting psychological research with young children.
