Niagara College - Welland
Individuals who aspire to become professional actors and entrepreneurs in today’s rapidly evolving film, television, and digital media industry can develop their creative and performance skills through Niagara College’s Acting for Film and Digital Media program.
Actors trained in the program become highly versatile and authentic storytellers who understand the importance of building meaningful connections with their audiences while creating their own opportunities for success in the entertainment industry.
Located near Toronto—often referred to as Hollywood North—and the surrounding Golden Horseshoe region, which ranks among the top film and digital media production hubs in North America, the program offers access to one of the country’s most dynamic creative markets.
The curriculum focuses on empowering actors to become confident communicators and collaborative storytellers. Reflecting the evolving nature of the performing arts sector and the growing importance of self-created digital content, students study both performance and industry-related courses that emphasize a dual focus on the actor and the entrepreneur.
Program instructors are active, working professionals from the Toronto region and across Canada, providing students with direct insight into current industry practices and connections to the field.
