Overview

If students hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, but don’t meet the entry requirements for a master’s, a Pre-Master’s can help them gain a place on a postgraduate degree. Quantity surveyors manage the commercial aspects of building and civil engineering projects, including finances, procurement and contracts. In this NTU course, students will be equipped to specialize in this field – preparing students for roles that sit at the heart of the construction process. Students will learn about the various procurement options available in the UK and internationally, and develop approaches that seek to maximize client value, minimize costs and deliver construction projects to the required standards. Through module and project work, they’ll explore construction law, technology and management and have the opportunity to source and gain real work experience on NTU's Industrial or Professional Experience optional module.
