Laurier's Bachelor of Education (BEd) program is highly progressive and future-oriented. The curriculum integrates 21st-century skills and global perspectives, emphasizing the diverse needs of children and youth in contemporary educational settings. The full-time, two-year BEd program is designed to prepare students for teaching at the primary and junior levels (Grades K-6) or the junior and intermediate levels (Grades 4-10). A key strength of the program that distinguishes it among faculties of education in Ontario is the robust partnership with five local school boards, enabling students to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired in their university classes to practical teaching experiences during field placements.
