The Internet of Things (IoT) programme at Derby equips students with the skills to use and develop IoT and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) devices and applications, enabling enhanced business operations and societal benefits. Modern industries increasingly rely on IoT to gather data from devices, making it crucial in logistics, manufacturing, supply chain management, personalised medicine, and transport. Industry trends indicate a growing demand for professionals capable of interpreting data and making informed decisions to maximise opportunities.
