If student's ambition is to teach in a secondary school environment, student will be well-prepared with our five-year Bachelor of Education (Secondary) / Bachelor of Arts degree. It is a well-rounded undergraduate program that combines theory, the latest teaching technology, and plenty of hands-on classroom experience. Working from a rigorous and practical curriculum, Student will acquire the academic skills to teach secondary school students.

In addition, they will be required to choose one major teaching area such as English, Humanities and Social Sciences, Mathematics, Science or Religious Education. Their will complete eight courses in their chosen major area, plus four courses in student's chosen area of specialisation.

The Bachelor of Arts component of this double degree will give them in-depth knowledge in their chosen teaching areas. In addition, student will study a Major in an area such as English Literature, Social Justice, Politics and International Relations, History, Archaeology or Theatre Studies, which will give them specialist knowledge and skills to inspire and guide them young students and contribute to cultural and intellectual life. These are the skills needed in the creative industries of the 21st-century workplace.
