Master of Science - Biomedical Science

The Biomedical Science (MSc) explores complex biomedical concepts with clinical relevance, covering disease pathology, ethical frameworks, diagnostic techniques, and research design. Students will learn to evaluate clinical literature, conduct experiments, and use data for biomedical insights. Optional specialisms allow in-depth study in a specific field, while the research project builds their ability to innovate and lead in lab-based environments. Students will choose a pathway through the modules they pick during the program. Biomedical Science represents the second-largest profession registered by the Health Professions Council and there is a high demand for well-qualified graduates. The graduates have progressed to senior NHS lab roles, research institutions, or pursue PhDs. Employers include Synnovis, NHS Trusts, UK Health Security Agency, GSK, UCB, and academic labs.
