Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Media and Communications (P306)

University of West London (UWL)

What you will study

The BA (Hons) Media and Communications at the University of West London features a curriculum organised around unifying blocks, allowing students in each semester to focus on developing their craft and critical skills on a specific theme or format without being dispersed across unrelated assessments.

The course offers two customisable pathways, enabling students to choose either the Media Production strand or the Media Studies strand halfway through their studies.

Real industry work experience is guaranteed, with a minimum of 40 hours of industry placement facilitated by the School’s Placements team, regardless of the chosen pathway.

Students will have access to industry-standard studios, facilities and equipment, which can be booked to support the development of their projects.

Teaching is delivered by a diverse group of established media practitioners and researchers, allowing students to benefit from both practical and theoretical expertise, as well as professional links in the UK and internationally.

The University’s campus, located in the heart of London’s media centre near two tube stations in Ealing, provides an ideal environment for studying media and communications.
