The Policy, Politics and Economics (PPE) degree at the University of Birmingham is an innovative, interdisciplinary programme which provides students with the opportunity to undertake a more contemporary version of the ‘traditional’ PPE degree programme. Policy, Politics and Economics is unique to the University of Birmingham and allows for a more innovative, applied and ‘real-world’ academic experience.
PPE at the University of Birmingham brings together the study of Social Policy, Politics and Economics to examine and evaluate the arguments, ideas and evidence associated with some of the most pressing global issues. The programme gives equal weight to all three disciplines for the duration of the course, while at the same time allowing students to tailor the degree to their strengths and interests.
It will enable students to develop the skills necessary for a wide range of careers across the private, public and third sectors.
