Students can start a career in this rewarding health field. OTAs and PTAs work with people who have limited or impaired functionality due to injury, illness, disability or aging. Students will learn in a hands-on environment to develop the skills they need to work in clinical and community-based settings under the guidance and supervision of registered occupational therapists and physiotherapists.
Students will learn: • Occupational/physiotherapy skills • Anatomy and physiology • Function and movement specialized training • Therapeutic exercise • Rehabilitation practice • Human lifespan development • Mental health concepts and techniques
