Students can start their degree at NIC and receive two years (60 credits) of transfer credit toward any BC university. Learn strong critical thinking and research skills sought after by employers as they study anthropology, criminology, First Nations studies, English, geography, history, liberal studies, modern languages (Chinese, French and Spanish), philosophy, political science, psychology, sociology and women’s studies.

Associate degrees offer a great deal of flexibility. Students can choose their preferred courses from a specific list of eligible courses, making it possible to focus their studies in one specific area or explore a variety of subjects. Students can learn about social welfare systems, human behaviour and the impact of social inequalities while preparing to study a bachelor's degree in social work.
