Associate of Arts - Philosophy (Optional transfer)

Philosophy is a disciplined reflection on the human condition. It can be an analysis and criticism of ideas and statements, or an attempt to synthesize all experience and knowledge, or an exploration of the meaning of life and how best to live it. Critical thinking is developed while examining peoples' responses to fundamental questions.

Optional Transfer

San Mateo - Cañada College is partnered with various universities and colleges to give interested applicants the opportunity to transfer to a four-year college or university after completing their associates degree or to transfer during their associates degree. Interested applicants should indicate their interest on the application form along with their intended partner university. San Mateo will provide students with the transfer requirements needed to guarantee a transfer. They still need to apply to the university during the regular period, which is usually one year in advance of the start date.
