Bachelor of Science - Life Sciences - Biomedical Sciences (Co-op)
University of Waterloo
What you will study
This program is designed for students whose goal is to use science to help people. The Biomedical Sciences program can prepare students for careers in health care, such as medicine, optometry, pharmacy, dentistry, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, or forensics. Courses in biology, chemistry, physics, and math provide a solid foundation in science and prepare students to meet the admission requirements of most health-related professional schools. This highly flexible program also lets students select electives from other faculties, allowing them to pursue an area of personal interest within or outside Science. This flexibility is valuable because many professional schools look for well-rounded individuals who are both strong leaders and effective communicators.
