1-Semester Pathway Pre-Masters - Business, Media and Social Sciences - Transfer to Master of Arts in Corruption and Governance

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre at the University of Sussex followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Sussex. In the International Year One programme, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

The Pre-Masters in Business, Media and Social Sciences, provides a route to a variety of postgraduate degrees at the University of Sussex. English language and career skills are combined with subject-specific modules such as social sciences, cultural studies, and a variety of business skills such as accounting, finance and business management to provide you with a strong foundation for your chosen business, media and social sciences degree.

While studying a Master of Arts in Corruption and Governance, develop your understanding of what corruption is, where and why it proliferates, and what can be done to counteract it.

This course is the only full-time Masters in the UK addressing issues of corruption. You’ll address challenging issues of how different disciplines define corruption and how this can lead to different anti-corruption approaches. You’ll examine specific examples – from systematic abuses of power by parties, politicians and civil servants to small-scale, petty misdemeanours. The role of business can also be analysed.

Based in the world-leading Sussex Centre for the Study of Corruption, this course remains the only full-time MA in the world analysing issues of corruption, anti-corruption and governance.
