Overview
This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre at the University of Sussex followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Sussex. In the International Year One programme, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.
The Pre-Masters in Business, Media and Social Sciences, provides a route to a variety of postgraduate degrees at the University of Sussex. English language and career skills are combined with subject-specific modules such as social sciences, cultural studies, and a variety of business skills such as accounting, finance and business management to provide you with a strong foundation for your chosen business, media and social sciences degree.
During this Master of Science in Corporate and Financial Risk Managment, you’ll: • gain an understanding of the main aspects of risk management in business
• apply mathematics to financial risk description, analysis and quantification • experience Sussex’s strong foundation of interdisciplinary research.
The MSc draws on expertise from industry professionals, so you’ll gain the knowledge and skills to succeed in the fast-paced corporate world. Topics covered include quantitative analysis, regulation, implementation and management structure. You’ll have a choice between practice- and research-oriented study and can explore further topics including programming or statistics.
You’ll learn from established specialists in both the Department of Mathematics and the University of Sussex Business School.
