What you will study
Students will explore a wide range of specialisms, from animal behavior and human biosciences to psychology once they have successfully completed the Biological and Biomedical Foundation program. The University of Plymouth champions experiential learning in the laboratory and in the field, with progression degrees including an optional placement year to help them gain valuable real-world experience.
Zoology is the science of animals. In the Bachelor of Science in Zoology course, graduates will develop an understanding of all aspects of animal biology in terrestrial, marine and freshwater environments. They will gain in-depth knowledge of animal ecology and evolution, and develop the key lab skills in animal behavior, molecular biology, physiology, and cellular biology that are sought after by employers and are necessary for postgraduate education.
