University Pathways Fast Track at RMIT UP is an accelerated pathway designed for high-achieving international students, preparing them for university in half the time of a Foundation Studies course. Delivered over one semester by RMIT UP (CRICOS provider number: 01912G), a fully owned entity of RMIT University, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future academic success.

Located in the heart of Melbourne, RMIT UP’s specialist staff support students throughout their journey, while providing opportunities to build global and social networks that contribute to success at RMIT and beyond.

To ensure students get the best start to their studies, RMIT offers careers counselling, as well as academic and welfare support services that can be accessed flexibly.

University Pathways Fast Track features focused, discipline-based streams, allowing students to align their studies with their interests and goals. Available streams include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Art, Design and Architecture, Business, and Communication and Social Context.

Bachelor of Data Science - Professional (BP348) (110804D) RMIT’s Bachelor of Data Science (Professional) is designed to equip students with the theoretical and practical skills required to succeed in the rapidly growing data science industry.

The degree comprises three years of study followed by a one-year industry internship in the final year, organised with the support of the School of Computing Technologies. This industry experience provides students with a valuable opportunity to develop professional and technical skills while building and extending their professional networks.

Throughout the program, students develop a combination of expertise in data analytics, statistics and computer science, preparing them to play a key role in business decision-making, corporate strategy and government planning.

With a wide range of career-focused majors, minors and elective subjects available, students can tailor their studies to align with their interests and career goals. Study areas include machine learning, data wrangling, artificial intelligence, gaming, blockchain and data security.
