What you will study

Program Description The Diploma of Information Technology provides a broad introduction to computing. Students who successfully complete this diploma can progress in their chosen specialised degree at La Trobe University. These study areas include cyber security, information systems and web development. There are a multitude of career options across every sector when it comes to the ever-changing landscape of IT, such as business programming, network engineering, systems design, IT consulting and much more.

Diploma of IT has two streams, each leading to entry into a different bachelor course. In all streams students are to select eight units in total.

Upon successful completion of the diploma in each stream, students will qualify for the direct entry to the second year of: • Information Technology Stream enables entry to the Bachelor of Information Technology • Cybersecurity Stream enables entry to the Bachelor of Cybersecurity
