The Computer Systems Technician – Data Centre Operations diploma program provides practical training in the installation, configuration, administration and maintenance of computer systems and data centre infrastructure. Students develop skills in operating systems, networking, server administration, virtualization, cloud technologies, storage and technical support.
Through hands-on laboratory work and applied projects, students learn to monitor system performance, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage user access, protect data and support reliable IT operations. The program also emphasizes cybersecurity, disaster recovery, automation, documentation and industry-standard data centre practices.
Graduates are prepared for entry-level roles such as computer systems technician, data centre technician, network support technician, server administrator, cloud support technician or IT support specialist. Employment opportunities may be available with data centres, cloud service providers, technology companies, financial institutions, government agencies and other organizations that maintain critical IT infrastructure.
