Western Sydney University - Sydney City (WSUSCC)

What you will study

The Bachelor of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is a professional course designed to provide students with solid skills and a comprehensive knowledge base in ICT. It equips students with the ability to apply practical solutions to ICT challenges, including systems analysis and design, application development, program design, networks, web development, and the implementation of technology. The course requires the successful completion of 240 credit points, which includes twelve core subjects and eight elective subjects that can be selected from any discipline available at Sydney City Campus. Students pursuing a major are required to complete specific major subjects in place of some elective subjects. Available majors include: • Cyber Security • Networking and Cloud Computing • Software Development

At Sydney City Campus, students have the opportunity to complete their three-year bachelor’s degree in as little as two years, allowing them to enter the workforce sooner. A bachelor’s degree typically comprises 24 subjects. Through a flexible academic calendar, students can study 12 subjects in one year across three trimesters. However, it is recommended that students undertake a maximum of three subjects per trimester to avoid an overly demanding study load. This approach results in less downtime between trimesters and can improve students' chances of passing all their subjects.
