What you will study
The BSc (Hons) Forensic Science at the University of West London enables students to develop knowledge of biological and chemical sciences to support crime scene investigations and prepares them for a career as forensic scientists in a field with growing demand.
Students will learn how to investigate crime scenes from the perspective of a forensic crime scene examiner and expert witness.
Using case studies based on real crimes and guided by expert tutors, students will explore evidence retrieval and processing, evaluation of forensic evidence, follow-up procedures and other core forensic skills.
The University’s cutting-edge facilities, including Crime Scene Rooms and a dedicated Blood Spatter Research Room, allow students to develop essential investigative and research abilities in practical settings.
These skills, combined with hands-on, work-based learning, will help students stand out to employers who value practical experience.
The course is accredited by the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences.
