Overview
This Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education prepares students for a variety of roles with young children. The curriculum is grounded in equity, developmentally appropriate practices, and inclusion of families and communities
Graduates of this program will be able to: • Use knowledge of individual children and child development theory to promote learning for diverse groups of young children • Use family centered practices to engage families and communities in the education of young children • Observe, document, and assess learning to support development • Use a wide array of developmentally, culturally, and linguistically sustaining approaches, strategies and tools. • Use content knowledge to build a meaningful, inclusive, anti-bias curriculum. • Identify with the profession, center equitable practices as core to their work, and conduct themselves professionally
