4-Term Pathway - Foundation Certificate for Business, Law and Social Sciences - Continue to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - International Politics and Policy and Communication and Media (Honours Select 50:50)

In Year One, students take compulsory modules in Foundations in Politics and Foundations in International Politics, as well as modules focused on Comparative Politics, and study skills. Students also have the option to take modules in either Political Theory or British Politics as well as 30 credits available to take modules elsewhere in the University. Then in Years Two and Three there are a wide choice of optional modules, including the option of a Dissertation in Year Three, giving students the chance to complete a sustained, original piece of work on a topic of their choice. Media coverage represents the most important method for communicating key issues and developments in most subject areas to the wider world, so Communication and Media makes an excellent partner for 50:50 combinations with another subject. This means that students will find plenty of opportunities for crossover between the other subject and Communication and Media, but students will still study core modules from both. In Communication and Media, the full range of modules will be open to students in Years Two and Three.
