What you will study
Visual Effects Program Visual effects is truly a balance of left and right brain thinking. Students must be able to understand and utilize both art and technology to create effective visual effects. Only by exploring the latest software and technology in-depth, will students be able to apply and grow their artistic talent. Whether it's creating massive destruction scenes or expanding the scope of production, nearly every film now requires visual effects for support. By collaborating with students in other filmmaking programs, students will learn to become part of the film production process and capable of creating and integrating any digital elements required to tell the story. The Visual Effects program at Sheridan provides the industry's most comprehensive curriculum by leveraging the knowledge and facilities of their world-renowned Computer Animation and Advanced TV and Film programs. Their instructors bring years of industry experience and a passion for creating visual effects.
Professional Accounting Program This program provides a clear pathway to becoming a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). Graduates can apply to the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) — the final step before they write their Common Final Exam (CFE). Even if students don’t have an accounting background, they’ll soon be on their way to becoming a CPA.
CPA’s preparatory courses are rigorous and challenging to complete. By taking the Professional Accounting program, students will get the equivalent courses in a supportive classroom setting. They’ll also benefit from the best of the college experience — practical learning, one-on-one attention and small classes.
Accountants need to have a strong theoretical knowledge as well as practical software skills. Unlike other institutions, Sheridan gives students both. This combination of theory and software experience will make them more marketable to potential employers. And because students will be familiar with the latest accounting software, they’ll be ready for the workplace.
