College Diploma - Strength and Sport Conditioning - Fast Track (010413)

The Strength and Sport Conditioning fast-track diploma program provides accelerated, practical training in fitness assessment, athletic performance and evidence-informed conditioning. It is designed to prepare students to develop and deliver safe, effective training programs for athletes and physically active individuals.

Students study subjects such as exercise physiology, functional anatomy, biomechanics, strength training, speed and agility development, performance testing, injury prevention, nutrition and recovery. Through laboratory activities and applied learning, they gain experience assessing physical performance, using conditioning equipment, monitoring progress and adapting programs to individual and sport-specific needs.

Graduates may pursue roles such as strength and conditioning coach, fitness trainer, athletic performance assistant, exercise specialist or wellness program facilitator in fitness centres, sports organizations, training facilities and community recreation settings. Additional certification or professional registration may be required for certain roles.
