Overview
The MSc in Management combines a comprehensive grounding in the functions of management with a critical analysis of the context in which managers work. You will develop a critical understanding of the economic, social and political environments which affect organisational life.
You'll cover a range of subject areas relevant to you as an aspiring managers, including:
Academic skills Accounting Economics Marketing Organisational behaviour Strategy Sustainability Management theory Research methods You will be equipped with the skills to critically evaluate the published literature on management and organisations and to synthesise the range of issues and perspectives which inform research and practice in the field. It will also develop your practical transferable skills including the ability to conduct independent research, and to apply strategic thinking to real-world management problems. You will have the opportunity to develop the expertise and knowledge to manage competently, capably and ethically.
Our MSc Management is accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and is also an approved partner of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). Our partnership with CMI offers you the opportunity to gain a dual award alongside your MSc Management where, upon successful completion of your course, you can also be awarded with CMI's Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice and CMI's Foundation Chartered Manager status.
The course has been designed to meet the needs of newly qualified graduates and professionals setting out in their careers as managers.
