Overview

The Extended Accelerator Program is a three-semester program for students seeking an immersive English-learning experience. The program gives students a firsthand practical and cultural understanding of the Auburn University campus and the Auburn, Alabama, area through its contextual curriculum. Upon completion of the program, students progress into year two of their undergraduate education with a full year’s worth of academic credits.

While Law and Justice is designed to prepare students to excel in law school, those considering other graduate programs and non-legal careers can also benefit from many of the skills developed by this interdisciplinary major. From Department of Philosophy courses, students acquire abilities in analytical thinking and argument formulation. Courses from the School of Communication and Journalism hone student skills in verbal communication. An understanding of American Legal History results from courses taught by the Department of History. The Department of Political Science contributes classes that, among other things, develop legal research and writing skills, legal reasoning, and substantive knowledge of several different areas of case law.
