The BSc (Hons) Computer Science with Foundation Year at the University of West London is designed to meet the high demand for IT graduates with up-to-date knowledge and skills in computing.
Accredited with Full Incorporated Engineering status (IEng) by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), the degree provides a qualification that is recognised by industry.
Influenced by the latest research and industry requirements, the course focuses on practical skills, enabling students to design and develop software for a range of applications, from mobile systems to large-scale enterprise solutions. Students will also learn about the science behind computing and software development, as well as the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) across the digital sector.
The BSc (Hons) Computer Science degree is also accredited by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.
The foundation year is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to continue onto the Honours degree. Students will study a range of subjects that underpin future learning and gain valuable experience of university life, with full access to campus facilities. Successful completion of the year allows students to progress straight onto Level 4 of the course.
