Overview
Economics majors pursuing the B.A. degree have the flexibility to design a large part of their curriculum to suit their needs and enter careers in business, government, or education or attain graduate degrees in business, law, or economics.
In addition to the general education core curriculum requirements, the Bachelor of Arts degree (BA) requires three additional hours of English literature, six hours of 2000-level modern language courses and a minor. In addition to completing the mathematics and life and physical sciences requirements of the general education core curriculum, students must complete one additional science course (3-4 hours) from anthropology (biological anthropology only), biology, chemistry, computer science, geography (physical geography only), mathematics, philosophy (logic only), and physics.
