Integrated Foundation - Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - English Language and Linguistics (Q312)

This four-year program includes a foundation year that leads directly into the three-year course. It provides an excellent route to a degree in English language and linguistics if students do not have the typical entry requirements.

The foundation year will provide students with the skills and knowledge to succeed at university. They'll develop core skills in academic study, writing and research.

The subject-specific studies will include:

• Study Skills: which develops students' academic writing, research, referencing, critical thinking, teamwork, study techniques and study management • Persuasive Writing: which explores how writing shapes lives, and how it's used for social media, journalistic and political persuasion • Identities: which explores identity in relation to national/race identity, gender, changing identities and sense of self, examining everything from texts and objects to film and cultural documents • Perspectives: which enhances their ability to study and understand problems, events.
