2-Term Pathway - Pre-Master's for Business, Law and Social Sciences - Continue to Master of Laws - International Banking and Finance Law

If students hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, but don’t meet the entry requirements for a master’s, a Pre-Master’s can help them gain a place on a postgraduate degree. The breadth and depth of study and the demands of independent research make the undertaking of a specialised LLM distinct from the undergraduate study of law. Part of UWE Bristol's comprehensive range of LLM programmes, the LLM in International Banking and Finance Law offers students a pathway to specialize in law relating to the global finance and banking sectors. Students will study integral parts of the international banking and financial system, and be encouraged to think critically about fundamental issues, such as the importance of effective financial regulation, the impact of the credit crunch, the necessity for corporate social responsibility and the increasing significance of ethical banking. The in-depth nature of the course will prepare students well for working in either legal practice or commercial organizations.
