What you will study
Program Description Develop the skills you need to manage business operations in the global economy.
You’ll explore key international corporate and economic issues, and get the tools and commercial insight you need to launch a managerial career anywhere in the world, or pursue entrepreneurial opportunities.
The programme examines topics such as:
• how multinationals operate in emerging economies • implications of Brexit for European business and management • challenges of managing across cultures • fundamentals of strategic management • business law and ethics
You can tailor your studies to emerging areas of interest or career aspirations through a range of optional modules in areas such as marketing, finance and human resource management.
A sandwich placement year, taken in year three of the programme, enables you to develop your skills and professional confidence - and boosts your employability on graduation.
You’ll build a broad foundation of knowledge on all aspects of business and management, ensuring you graduate as a well-rounded professional with excellent commercial awareness and an invaluable global perspective.
Sandwich Year
This 4-year programme offers you the opportunity to take up a placement year working in business in your third year.
Placements are real, paid jobs in a wide variety of organisations in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors and offer you an invaluable opportunity to experience first-hand how business and management concepts are applied in practice, and to give you direct exposure to real issues in the workplace. It can also be done abroad.
The placement year is a vital part of your learning and will add significantly to your personal development, self-confidence, planning, communication and business acumen skills. Evidence suggests that students participating in work placements attain higher degree classifications and improved graduate employment prospects. You will be responsible for finding a placement opportunity; you will be fully supported by Bradford's dedicated work placements team who will advertise potential work placements, help you with applications, CV writing, interview techniques and in preparing for your time at work
