Overview

The MSc Business Analytics programme provides a comprehensive understanding of data analytics theories, principles, and modern technologies, alongside advanced statistical methods. It focuses on applying these tools to support organisational success, combining academic knowledge with practical, real-world business applications. The course is delivered by experienced professionals through interactive, workshop-style sessions, encouraging active engagement and hands-on learning using real business case studies.

Accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), the programme enables graduates to apply for a CMI Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership in addition to their degree. It is also recognised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) as an Accredited Degree, allowing students to gain respected industry qualifications more quickly.

Graduates of the programme develop the ability to interpret data patterns, make informed business decisions, and connect analytical insights to organisational value. The course equips students with up-to-date knowledge and practical skills needed to thrive in a fast-changing professional environment and progress into senior roles.

An extended two-year version, MSc Business Analytics with Professional Practice, includes an additional year focused on enhancing employability. After completing the first year alongside the standard MSc cohort, students can choose how to apply their learning in the second year. Options include undertaking a dissertation, developing a business plan, completing a consultancy or business project, or gaining experience through a paid industry placement, offering flexibility aligned with individual career goals.
