Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT)
The Civil Engineering Technology program trains professionals to design, draft, cost, and manage infrastructure projects like buildings, roads, and bridges. This two-year program combines hands-on learning with theory and advanced technology. It covers all civil engineering design and construction management aspects, from building science to 2D and 3D drafting using virtual and augmented reality. Apply the skills in real construction scenarios, mastering structural and geotechnical engineering, estimating, and project scheduling. Multiple yearly intakes fit the schedule. Program structure varies by start date, allowing semester breaks or continuous study with short breaks. Before year two, choose a major: construction management, municipal, or virtual design and construction.
