What you will study
The BSc (Hons) Music Technology at the University of West London enables students to acquire and develop the skills needed to work with contemporary sound and music, both pre- and post-production.
Students will learn the theory and techniques that are essential for creating music and audio to a professional standard.
While the course focuses on music production, it also provides opportunities to apply work in a broader context, exploring areas such as:
• music production and mixing • live sound • game audio • audio post-production • surround mixing • experimental sound art
Students will also develop business survival skills that are essential for self-employed specialists.
Collaboration is an integral part of the course, with opportunities to work with students from the London College of Music and other Schools. Students will collaborate with musicians performing in a range of styles, including EDM, pop, jazz and classical.
There are also opportunities to work with students in media, video and film, digital animation and games design, helping students to enhance their CV before graduation.
