The Master of Planning (MPlan) program, offered through the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development (SEDRD), is designed for professionals with at least two years of experience who wish to enhance their skills and expertise in planning and development. The program emphasizes core competencies while offering flexibility for students to choose courses that align with their interests and career goals. Through an interdisciplinary approach, students explore the challenges and opportunities facing rural communities, developing innovative approaches and solutions to promote sustainable change. Specifically designed for working professionals, the MPlan can be completed in three full-time semesters (one year), allowing students to upgrade their training without leaving the workforce for an extended period. The program offers world-class education focused on planning and development for rural, Indigenous, and remote communities, providing opportunities to engage with communities and professional planners
