Humber’s Plumbing Technician diploma program is designed to provide students with both practical skills and theoretical knowledge required to succeed in the plumbing trade. The program covers best practices, including theory, codes, and blueprint reading, while offering extensive hands-on experience. Graduates are prepared with the competencies needed to pursue careers in the plumbing industry.

Plumbers are responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other systems used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. They may work in maintenance departments of factories and plants, for plumbing contractors, or as self-employed professionals.

There is expected to be continued job growth in the plumbing industry, both within the Greater Toronto Hamilton Area and across Canada.
