Cape Breton University
Master of Healthcare Leadership and Innovation (MHLI) program equips students with the advanced knowledge, leadership skills, and systems-thinking perspective needed to navigate and shape the future of healthcare.
Delivered through the Shannon School of Business, the MHLI combines academic rigor with real-world application. Students learn to manage complex healthcare systems, implement digital innovations, and guide interdisciplinary teams toward improved patient outcomes and organizational excellence.
Each student completes either a Master’s project or internship, collaborating directly with healthcare organizations, policymakers, and research institutes. These experiences allow students to apply classroom learning to professional contexts while building confidence, strong networks, and career-ready capabilities.
Located on beautiful Cape Breton Island, CBU offers an inspiring and supportive environment for academic and personal growth—an ideal setting for students to develop as healthcare leaders committed to meaningful change.
