What you will study

Program Description ARU has strong links with industry, so students can do work placements at music studios, theatres or production companies – and start building a standout CV while students study. There are four different music degrees to choose from: • Study music in the context of its modern application rather than historical period on the full-time Music BA (Hons) degree. • Learn how to succeed in the music business, from performance to production, by studying full-time Popular Music degree. • Discover how sound works, and how technology can help people master it, on the full-time, industry accredited Audio and Music Technology BSc (Hons) degree

With the BSc (Hons) Audio & Music Technology degree, students will integrate theories of sound into their audio projects, as they build a portfolio for a future career in the creative industries, including live sound, gaming, broadcast and film. Under the guidance of experienced academic staff and industry-active practitioners, students will spend time developing a broad, balanced skill set, acquiring proficiencies in the design, integration, and operation of the technologies and techniques that will underpin their future career.
