This course provides an exciting opportunity to study mathematics abroad. They can choose from countries including Australia, Canada, France plus many others. The year abroad enables them to experience a new culture and improve their language skills.
Are they fascinated by abstract concepts such as infinity and symmetry? Do they want to develop their skills in problem solving and analysis? Our BSc Mathematics (International Study) will prepare them for a career in which them can apply the knowledge and skills they have learnt. The course will enable them to enhance and develop their transferable skills in project work, group study and presentations.
There's a range of specialized modules across all branches of mathematics, based upon our diverse research interests.
Our academics are working on problems that span: medicine, biotechnology and food security
epidemic modelling fluid mechanics, with applications in industry and biology statistical machine learning algebra and number theory mathematical finance
About mathematics at the University of Nottingham The first year of this accredited degree gives them a flavor of the different areas of mathematics on offer. They will cover topics spanning applied mathematics, pure mathematics, statistics and probability. They will work individually and in groups to solve real-world problems using advanced theories and techniques.
It helps them to decide what they enjoy and if there are areas in which they want to specialize.
