What you will study

If students have completed high school with good grades but don’t qualify for entry to an undergraduate degree, they could study an International Year One, which combines university preparation with degree 1st year. This course aims to enable students to identify security risks and preventative measures in technological solutions. Students will learn the basic principles and practice of collecting computer data as evidence of computer crime. Students will learn how systems operate in terms of their software and hardware infrastructure. Based on this they will learn how to manage such systems as a system administrator specializing in ensuring security. The students' knowledge will be further developed to give them a good appreciation of security issues and the steps organizations need to take to protect themselves from security breaches and crime.
