London South Bank University - Southwark Campus
Doctor of Arts and Creative Industries program enables students to join a small, vibrant, and diverse doctoral community and to be supervised by academics with international standing. Doctoral students often collaborate in organising conferences, supporting the editing of academic journals and publications, and leading research-related events and symposia.
Research in the School is applied in nature and addresses real-world issues through a wide range of methodologies and approaches, including practice-based research, empirical studies of audiences and cultural institutions, and theory-driven analysis
The School includes two research centres that reflect distinct areas of specialism: the Centre for the Study of the Networked Image and the Creative Technologies Research Centre. Academic staff are active researchers working at the forefront of areas such as performance and theatre, curation, museum studies, cultural policy, networked cultures, photography, film, and journalism.
