The Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics provides the knowledge and practical training required for a variety of career opportunities, including careers in medicine, healthcare, health promotion and wellness, sports and athletics, education and research, foodservice management, food production, community programs and government agencies. The program curriculum provides students with an understanding of the basic and behavioral sciences and the knowledge and skills required to help others make informed decisions about food, nutrition and health.
Graduates upon completion of this accredited program, will be eligible to apply to dietetic internships and supervised practice experiences. These are required to sit for the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) exam. Some of the past graduates have decided to pursue advanced medical degrees outside of nutrition and dietetics and currently work as medical doctors, osteopathic doctors, physician assistants, chiropractors and registered nurses.
