Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Physics - Second Degree Honours Candidates (QSY)

This degree is for those students who are currently completing/ have completed a first undergraduate degree and are interested in beginning a second undergraduate degree at Queen’s University.

The Department of Physics at Queen’s is one of Canada’s leading teaching and research institutes in Physics, Engineering Physics and Astronomy. The faculty include high-profile, world-class physicists and astronomers such as Nobel Laureate Art McDonald. Queen’s is home to the Arthur B. McDonald Canadian Astroparticle Physics Research Institute with its world-leading research activities and suite of experiments located at SNOLAB.

Physics at Queen’s combines high-caliber research with an intermediate-scale learning setting, enabling attention and care towards undergraduate teaching as well as exposure to a broad range of topics and expertise. Students will learn in an engaging environment with the opportunity to conduct interdisciplinary research in state-of-the-art laboratories, and work on projects involving international collaborators such as the experiments in dark matter and neutrinos happening below the surface of the Earth at the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory (SNOLAB).
