Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Creative Writing and Modern Languages (W8R8)

The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Creative Writing and Modern Languages course will enable students to develop a personal creative practice as a writer, offering imaginative approaches in a variety of forms, while gaining skills and critical insights in modern languages and cultures. It offers an exploration of the techniques and contexts of the novel, the short story, poetry, and writing for performance and media. They will be taught by research experts and published writers.

The cross-disciplinary Creative Writing and Modern Languages degree will give students the opportunity to learn about the cultures and societies of the countries in which their chosen language is spoken, whilst also helping them to hone their own creative voice as a writer. They use the degree as an opportunity to try out new languages, but also to try out different literary genres, whether fiction or non-fiction.
