What you will study

Program Description Swansea's three-year BA Geography degree is suitable for students who know that their main interest lies in the field of human geography. Students will cover a contemporary range of themes including processes shaping the global economy, mobility and migration, creative geographies and political geography. They will also have the chance to explore how landscapes are shaped and discover how populations move and interact. Human Geography at Swansea University attracts students from around the world. The department is based at the stunning Singleton Park campus overlooking Swansea Bay.

The student's learning will be shaped by inspirational and internationally-renowned academics including Dr Amanda Rogers who has been awarded the Learned Society of Wales' Dillwyn Medal for outstanding early career research in the Creative Arts and Humanities and Dr Sergei Shubin who leads the Centre for Migration Policy Research (CMPR) and Pacondaa Project. Swansea University holds a TEF Gold award, UK Government recognition for excellent teaching in UK higher education.

At Swansea, they place a strong emphasis on fieldwork. Swansea's field-courses take students to areas of outstanding natural beauty such as the Gower Peninsula, and to locations across the world such as Borneo, The Indian Himalayas and Mallorca.
