The Bachelor of Music program prepares students for a successful career in the arts. Students study in a creative and collaborative environment and can shape their education to their aspirations. The program offers a wide range of program choices, all grounded in essential training.

Students learn from renowned professionals with a passion for teaching. The University of Manitoba’s instructors are active in the international music world and perform, record, compose, conduct and publish regularly. They attract acclaimed guest artists to the university’s masterclasses and provide wide-ranging opportunities for students to perform.

Students will pursue their instrument in a conservatory-like atmosphere, with the freedom to explore many musical styles. They will combine technical study with an intensive study of repertoire and will benefit from a focus on both solo performance and ensemble playing.
