The Doctor of Psychology program is supported by a member of academic staff with expertise in the chosen field, who is directly responsible for guiding and supporting the research program. Research students become part of a thriving academic community.
A PhD is defined as an original contribution to knowledge. Unlike a taught course, a research degree requires students to direct their own learning with support from a supervisory team. At PhD level, teaching and learning typically take the form of one-to-one supervision, e-learning, and workshops.
Research in this area has influenced policy and supported the development of new commercial capabilities. Scientists work in multidisciplinary teams to address major societal challenges in human health, well-being, performance, and behavior, applying theory to contemporary real-world issues through innovative and rigorous scientific research.
